task two research into existing music magazines

I am going to conduct research on is Kerrang, which i published weekly by published by Bauer Consumer Media, the magazine is priced at £2.20 each week but this price differs depending which gift you receive. The average size of Kerrang is 63 pages. Kerrang regular content is Feedback, News,Swag,Live reviews,Album Reviews,Gig guide and famous last words. The second magazine i have decided to research is Nme as this is sometimes classed as a pop punk magazine. Nme is published weekly on a Wednesday, at the price of £2.30. The average size of Nme is 70 pages. Nme does not have regular content as there content page is just a list of bands with the page number next to them, there featured articles are the bands on the front cover which are in bold on the inside front cover. website- http://www.nme.com/

The Third magazine i looked at was Q. Q is published monthly, at the price of £3.50. Usual features include The Q50, wherein the magazine lists the top 50 essential tracks of the month; Cash for Questions, in which a famous celeb/band answers question sent in by readers - who win £25 if their question is printed; Ten Commandments, wherein a particular singer creates their very own ten commandments by which to live and Rewind, in which they take us back in time through the history of music via archive issues of Q. The magazine has an extensive review section, featuring: new releases (music), reissues (music), music compilations, film and live concert reviews, as well as radio and television reviews. It uses a star rating system from one to five stars; indeed, the rating an album receives in Q is often added to print and television advertising for the album in the UK and Ireland. The final magazine i decided to conduct research on was Rocksound. Rocksound is published monthly at the price of £3.80,Rocksounds average number of pages is 120. This issues main features are interviews with eight bands which is the same in other issues of this magazine,the regular features are as follows; reviews, edit letter, lives, exposure,the noise, and rsvp.
